Hi all,

I’m writing to let you know about my upcoming Kickstarter project, Tiny Spaceship. This tabletop RPG is perfect for whimsical one-shot games in the style of Batteries Not Included, Ponyo, Space Jungle, Pokoyo, Robo Story, or perhaps Invader Zim.

It is already available via floaker.itch.io. Normally I'd be happy leaving a one-page game there. However, I got the exceptional news that I was awarded a scholarship to attend Big Bad Con this October!!! This is a huge opportunity for me to connect with other gamers, designers, streamers and distributors. My plan is to fill a case with games by local small press and indie creators to help shine a light on everything we have going on here in Scotland. It is a dream come true.

While the scholarship will cover my accommodation, the convention is in San Francisco. I'm a working class parent with a low-paid part-time job. I'm also in Scotland. Travel and food and a little spending cash is going to take a lot out of me. That's why I’ve decided to run a Kickstarter to raise funds! You can pledge for Physical copies of the game, stickers, full colour MDF tokens, and even to have me host a game for you and your friends!

The text, art and layout are all completed. The same goes for the stickers & tokens. Everything is ready to go into production as soon as funds clear from Kickstarter, and I have all my postage materials ready to go.

I’m hoping there is enough love for Tiny Spaceship that it can get me over The Pond and home again. I've kept the price for Tiny Spaceship close to covering costs, with a bit of wiggle room for emergencies and saving for my travel expenses. If anyone is feeling generous, there is an Add-On to chip in some extra money to my travel funds. Those who do will get my eternal thanks and a little extra surprise based on the amount chipped in.

The Kickstarter will launch this Friday, the 6th of September, at Midday. This coincides with the opening on this year’s Tabletop Scotland games convention. If you are attending, swing by The Indie Connecton stall and say hi. Oh, and even if you can’t pledge anything, please share the link to let others know about Tiny Spaceship. Word of mouth is a huge help to this kind of small project.
