Moving Times!
Everyone seems to be upping sticks right now...

Dear Reader,
I AM NO LONGER HOMELESS!!! Long-term followers will know that I have had a few bouts of homelessness in recent years. Nineteen months ago I was placed into so-called temporary housing by the local authorities with the warning that it would likely be three years before I was offered stable social housing. I moved in and made it as nice as possible for myself and my kid as we are going to be there for a long enough time.
Fast-forward to the end of February. A call comes out of the blue with an offer of housing, but I have to jump on it. Queue several weeks of getting everything lined up, packing up, moving, organised chaos.
The best of this was the main move between houses was (outside of my control) set for the launch date for Pocketopia. This is a promotion ran by Bakckerkit where I was set to run a fundraiser for my local club. Luckily, our goals were modest and we didn’t desperately need the money. At least, that had been the plan…
Edinburgh Indie Gamers Needs You!
News came in that the Shrub Co-Op, home to the Edinburgh Indie Gamers, had lost funding and was set to close. We had already been planning a new club zine when news of the closure dropped, but our need for funds became suddenly more vital than ever before. While I am overseeing the campaign page, every penny raised will be going into the club accounts. With your help, we can keep a unique space for indie games going strong for its 10th Birthday and beyond!
As a Pocketopia project, the EIG Zine is very honoured to have teamed up with one of my favourite designers, Côme Martin, and his upcoming game The Red Lion Hotel. As our projects foreground physical location, backing both will bag you a very special postcard collection along with your regular rewards!

Mum Chums Update

Layout In Production
While it seems a while ago, funding for Mum Chums over ZineQuest was very successful. Sin has started working on the layout. We had hoped to show some of it off here. However, they are also moving out of precarious housing at the moment, and had to pack up their computer equipment!

Hark! Says the Frog Magus
However, the mugs have been produced, and only two of them still need to be delivered. Next in line is the game and play aides to go with them!
Why We Fight

Why We Fight is an upcoming game from Stop, Drop & Roll. It is also funding right now via Backerkit. Two of the folks behind it, Laurie and Rhi, are also in the middle of a house move right now! Also, both myself and Sin have been asked to be Stretch Goal scenario writers for the project (along with a host of amazingly talented people). I’m already unlocked, and we are rapidly approaching securing Sin’s involvement in the project.
Why We Fight is a 1-5 player narrative TTRPG where you play a crew of eco-punks fighting fascism to build a brighter, greener future. But most of all, its core comes from learning about each other, and the things that drive us to make change.
Settling Down
I’ve moved. Sin is moving. I’m doing some writing for folks moving up to Scotland from That London. My local club is looking for a new home. Eeeeesh. Things are settling down, and so I’m wishing everyone a settled time in the coming month.
Narratively Yours,
Tanya.
